KHEA UNVEILS NEW SINGLE “AYER ME LLAMÓ MI EX” FEATURING BACHATA LEGEND LENNY SANTOS

Accelerating a breakout year highlighted by tens of millions of streams and widespread critical acclaim, Latin trap leader KHEA unveils a new single entitled “Ayer Me Llamó Mi Ex” today.

This time round, the Argentinian force of nature aimed to lay a bachata groove on top of a trap beat—so he connected with legendary guitarist Lenny Santos of iconic bachata group Aventura. Santos notably adds sizzling bachata flavor with swaggering guitar. KHEA also enlisted the production talents of buzzing prodigious Colombian producer, artist, and labelmate NOBEAT. A tropical beat cruises through lush keys and riffs as KHEA deftly raps the verses until sliding right into a chantable hook. Glowing with breakup vibes, he flexes his vocals over rich sonics as he details the return of an old flame on “Ayer Me Llamó Mi Ex”—which translates to “Yesterday my ex called me.”

KHEA continues to pop up everywhere. Just last month, he joined forces with fellow Argentinian star TINI for “Ella Dice.” It peaked at #1 on YouTube global charts and held #1 for three weeks in Argentinian radio charts. It has already generated over 12 million Spotify streams, while the sexy music video cracked 30 million YouTube views. Billboard recently showcased it on First Stream Latin and wrote, “TINI and KHEA, two of Argentina’s hottest artists of the moment, have joined forces for ‘Ella Dice,’ a flirty pop-reggaeton that perfectly spotlights their musical chemistry.”

Earlier this year, KHEA joined forces with Colombian band Piso 21 on the remix of his hit “Donde Estas,” which generated 6.3 million streams on Spotify while the original version surpassed 50 million streams. He also released Trapicheo, a trap mixtape, along with single “Mami Lo Siento” and its music video featuring footage from his world tour last year.

However, KHEA shows no signs of stopping or slowing down. He’s plotting even bigger moves and more music for 2020 as he affirms his place at the forefront of Latin music and culture.

Indicative of his versatility, he collaborated with blackbear on the official remix of “hot girl bummer.”

In 2020, he inked a deal with Interscope Records and joined the management roster of Electric Feelas the company’s first Latin act, in partnership with manager Austin Barmak. He also signed with agency WME and was one of only three Latin artists to participate in Europe’s main festivals.
