HARLEM'S OWN, “LA DOMINICAN MAMI” MELII SHARES HER LATEST SINGLE AND VIDEO FOR “WAY TOO SOFT”

Harlem-native singer/songwriter/rapper, “Dominican Mami” MELII continues to prove she’s a force to be reckoned with her empowering new single “Way Too Soft”. On the fierce track she continues to show off her signature spitfire lyricism “I can never let a wack b***h press me, my whole life sh*t on you and your bestie.” Listen to the track released via Rule#1/Geffen Records HERE.

Shot in Miami, the accompanying visual takes the viewers on a cinematic journey – pulling inspiration from “007’ and “Scarface” we see a fed up and fearless MELII turn up the heat after going “WAY TOO SOFT” on her rivals. Watch the visual directed by Des Gray HERE.

Earlier this year she made no qualms about making it clear that no one else can do it like her – on “BDE” featuring fellow New York rapper, Smoove’L the Dominican-American artist offered a sizzling flow to match her larger than life lyrics and received recognition from XXL, Hot New Hip Hop, Complex, and more. Last year the rising artist shared her highly anticipated EP MOTIONS which features seven-tracks that showcased her unapologetic yet vulnerable songwriting that’s made her one of 2019’s most exciting breakout stars. The EP featured passionate singles “TM Interlude” and “No Hard Feelings” and “Nena, a Latin-flavored track that landed on the Alt.Latino Playlist from NPR (who praised MELII as “a master in the art of the concise call-out”). The EP garnered recognition from Fader, Hot New Hip Hop, Complex, and more. In line with her EP MELII brought her magnetic stage presence to LVRN/Intersope Records artist, Summer Walker’s, The First and Last Tour.
