The Highly-Anticipated Premiere of El Señor de los Cielos Ranked as the #1 Drama Series Regardless of Language Among Adults 18-49; La Casa de los Famosos Season Three Delivered the Franchise’s Highest Premiere Performance in History Among Adults 18-49

On Digital, Both Premieres Broke Records with La Casa de los Famosos Ranking as the Top Reality Premiere and El Señor de los Cielos Becoming the Most-viewed Scripted Series Premiere in Telemundo App History La Casa de los Famosos and El Señor de los Cielos Ranked as the #1 Most Social Reality Series and #1 Most Social Drama Series, Respectively, Across All TV on Premiere Night



Telemundo’s much-anticipated double premiere of La Casa de los Famosos 3 and the eighth season of El Señor de los Cielos positioned the network as #1 in broadcast and cable, regardless of language, on Tuesday night, delivering an 8-11pm primetime average of 762,000 adults 18-49 and 270,000 adults 18-34, according to Nielsen.

The two-hour premiere of El Señor de los Cielos, Telemundo’s longest-running series, delivered an average of 857,000 adults 18-49 and 304,000 adults 18-34, propelling the action-packed production to the #1 spot among primetime dramas regardless of language.


Additionally, La Casa de los Famosos delivered the highest performance premiere of the franchise with an average of 510,000 adults 18-49 and 188,000 adults 18-34, from 7-9pm, ranking as the 8th highest rated program regardless of language in primetime among both demos. Locally, the premiere also ranked as the #1 show on broadcast regardless of language in Los Angeles and Miami, and #1 on Spanish-language television in New York, among adults 18-49.


On digital, the eighth season premiere of El Señor de los Cielos was the most-viewed scripted series premiere in Telemundo App history and #1 in the average minute audience; and, the premiere of La Casa de los Famosos S3 ranked as the highest reality premiere across all metrics on the Telemundo App, including starts, minutes and unique views.


On social, La Casa de los Famosos and El Señor de los Cielos ranked as the #1 most social reality series and the #1 most social drama series, respectively, across all of TV on premiere night based on total interactions.


Tuesday night’s double premiere started with La Casa de los Famosos, Hispanic’s TV most famous house, at 7pm/6c. With multiple hidden cameras and microphones that capture the celebrities’ movements 24/7, the hit reality competition hosted by Sandarti and Jimena Gállego, welcomed a new group of personalities who will live under the same roof in total isolation where pure drama and surprises are expected. For the first time, this new edition also includes a man and a woman from the audience who will compete for the grand cash prize.


At 9pm/8c, superstar Rafael Amaya made his big comeback to Telemundo as the legendary Aurelio Casillas in a two-hour premiere of the award-winning franchise El Señor de los Cielos. The iconic character becomes more invincible than ever to recover everything he has lost in this action-packed eighth season that will bring a drama full of revenge, passion and action. The stellar cast also includes Carmen Aub as Rutila Casillas, Iván Arana as Ismael Casillas, Isabella Castillo as Diana Ahumada and Alejandro López as Súper Javi, and the special participation of Lisa Owen, Robinson Díaz, and Salvador Pineda, among others.
